UK Tour - August 2017!

Anny will be on tour with Nelson Bragg and Duncan Maitland throughout August.
Tour dates listed here.

Anny Celsi & Nelson Bragg with Duncan Maitland:
From Los Angeles – pop-Americana artists Anny Celsi and Nelson Bragg team up with Dublin’s Duncan Maitland to form a high-energy, high-flyingtrio.  It’s Brill Building hooks, Byrds-y harmonies and Beatle-esque psychedelia!  Celsi’s style has been described as “beatnik cool,” “pop-noir,” and “slightlydelic pop jangle,” with comparisons to Suzanne Vega, Jackie DeShannon and Chrissie Hynde. While Bragg’s day job is percussionist-vocalist with The Brian Wilson Band, between tours he’s found time to release two critically acclaimed albums of his own, most notably “Day Into Night.”  Maitland has plied his 12-string  with pop heroes Picturehouse, Pugwash and XTC.  His “Lullabies for the 21st Century” is “a trip through the acid-tinged English foothills of rainyday sunshine pop.

Say it fast: Eyjafjallajökull! - April 14, 2015

Happy Volcano Day! Five years ago today (April 14th, 2010), Nelson Bragg and I were stranded at Heathrow Airport on the first day of our European tour, thanks to the geothermal hijinks of Iceland's Eyjafjallajökull Volcano.
Hard to describe the madness that followed - the five days of trying to find a way out of Heathrow Airport and across the sea to The Netherlands - the canceled shows, the crowded train stations, the reigning confusion over when and where and whether anyone would ever be able to fly again.  Good times! I'm happy to say that we got through it with the help of many, many friends, old and new. And, I got a song out of the deal.

In commemoration of the 5th anniversary of Eyjafjallajökull, I've just posted a new video of the song "Travelogue," from my 2013 album January, on Youtube. Enjoy, and feel free to share!

And of course, if you want to relive the catastrophe along with us, enjoy the "Tangle-Free World" tour video, which features a whole lot more confusion and shenanigans and the appearance of German guitarist, Roland Wolff!
